Golfed: The Golf Course Tracker for Every Course You've Played

Golfed - Every Course. Ranked. Remembered.

Golfed is a golf course tracking app for logging every course you have played and seeing how those courses stack up against the most respected lists in the game. Every course carries a ranking, and you can track your courses against the Golf Digest Top 100, the Golf Digest Second 100, and the Golf Magazine Top 100 You Can Play, broken out by state, by architect, and more. It was built for golfers who care about where they have played. Golfed is free to download on iOS and Android.

If you have ever tried to remember every course you have played, you already know the problem. The list lives in your head, on a few old scorecards, maybe in a notes app you stopped updating two seasons ago. Golfed turns that scattered history into one clean, ranked, permanent record. Here is everything it does.

What is Golfed?

Golfed is a golf course tracking app. You log the courses you have played, and Golfed shows you how your golf life measures up: which ranked courses you have checked off, how many you have left, and how your collection compares to other golfers. It is part logbook, part map, part leaderboard, and it is built around one simple idea, that the courses you have played are worth remembering properly.

If you are weighing your options for keeping track, we wrote a full comparison of scorecards, spreadsheets, and tracking apps separately. This page is about what Golfed itself does.

Track your courses against the game's most famous lists

The heart of Golfed is the ability to measure your courses played against the rankings that golfers actually argue about. As you log courses, Golfed automatically tracks your progress against three of the most recognized lists in the game.

Golf Digest Top 100 tracker

See exactly how many of the Golf Digest Top 100 Greatest Courses you have played, and which ones are still waiting. Every time you log one, it checks off your list. It is the cleanest way to follow your progress against the most famous ranking in American golf.

Golf Digest Second 100 tracker

The next 100 is where a lot of the most interesting golf lives. Golfed tracks the Golf Digest Second 100 right alongside the Top 100, so the courses just outside the headline list get their due.

Golf Magazine Top 100 You Can Play tracker

Not every great course is behind a private gate. Golfed tracks the Golf Magazine Top 100 You Can Play, the best public-access courses in the country, so you can build a realistic bucket list of golf you can actually book. If you want background on how these lists are built, we broke down the major course ranking systems in a separate guide.

See your golf life broken down

A single number does not tell the whole story, so Golfed lets you slice your courses played in the ways that matter to a course nerd.

State breakdowns show how many courses you have logged in each state, which makes it easy to see where you have explored and where you have barely scratched the surface. It turns "play more golf" into a concrete map of states to fill in.

Architect breakdowns group your courses by the people who designed them. If you want to chase a Donald Ross collection, follow the Coore and Crenshaw trail, or see how deep you are into Tillinghast designs, Golfed organizes your history by architect automatically. It is one of the most satisfying ways to find your next trip.

Your courses, on the map

Golfed gives your golf history a visual home with two different maps.

Your personal map lights up every course you have played across the country, so years of golf become a single picture you can actually look at. Watching the map fill in is the part most golfers get hooked on.

The Explore map works the other direction. It helps you discover new courses to play, search by area, and find the ranked courses near you or near your next trip. Advanced Explore filters are part of Golfed Pro, so you can narrow the map down to exactly the kind of golf you are chasing.

Prestige scores and your Top 5

Every course in Golfed carries a prestige score, a rating that reflects where a course sits in the game's hierarchy of architecture, history, and recognition. You do not have to assign these yourself, they come built in, so the moment you log a course you can see how it ranks. If you want to understand what actually goes into a course's standing, we wrote about what makes a golf course prestigious.

You can also set your own Top 5, the courses that meant the most to you, ranked your way, right on your profile. It is your personal headline reel, separate from any official list.

Leaderboards and friends

Golf is more fun with people, so Golfed is social by design.

Leaderboards show how your golf résumé stacks up against friends and against golfers across the country, measured not by your scoring average but by where you have played and how those courses rank. It is a different kind of competition, and it rewards the golfers who get out and explore.

Follow your friends to see the courses they are logging in a running activity feed, compare collections, and push each other to go play somewhere new. Every time a buddy logs a course you have not played, you have a new target.

More ways to play

Beyond the core tracking, Golfed is full of reasons to keep logging.

A bucket list lets you save the courses you are dreaming about and check them off as you go, so where you have been and where you are headed live in the same place. Badges reward milestones across dozens of achievements, from playing top-ranked courses to reaching new states. Monthly challenges keep things fresh with new goals to chase. And a stats view turns your golf life into numbers you can actually see.

How much does Golfed cost?

Golfed is free to download and free to use on iOS and Android. An optional Golfed Pro subscription unlocks advanced Explore filters and access to new features as they launch. You can build your full course history, track the famous lists, and use the leaderboards without paying anything.
